About SHADOW
Our Mission
SHADOW’s mission is to empower and inspire adolescents to realize their full potential through education, mentorship, and community engagement. We are committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment that promotes leadership, personal growth and social responsibility. We will assist youth in developing willpower in addition to the skills and confidence they need to create positive change in their lives and the world around them. We strive to build meaningful relationships and partnerships with parents and guardians to ensure essential needs are being met at home and school.
Our Programs
SHADOW offers a range of services designed to support youth in their personal and academic growth. Our mentorship program connects young individuals with caring, trained mentors who provide guidance and encouragement to help them set and achieve goals. We also offer:
- Academic support through tutoring and workshops aimed at improving grades and study skills.
- Leadership development focusing on building confidence, decision-making abilities, and teamwork skills.
- Health and wellness programs that promote physical and mental well-being.
- Career exploration and job readiness resources that prepare youth for future success in the workforce.
- Community service opportunities which encourages youth to give back to their communities and develop a sense of responsibility and empathy.

We believe in the importance of creating meaningful life experiences. Travel provides opportunities to see different places, gain new perspectives and expand one's thinking. We trust these experiences will help underserved youth from becoming a product of their environment.

SHADOW is committed to academic success and social-emotional well-being. Building strong connections with students and families outside of the school day is a big priorities. We work to identify areas in which our youth may need additional support and provide resources to families to help meet these needs.

One of our key areas of focus is using restorative problem-solving measures with students and families when issues arise in our community. Our goal is to decrease acts of violence by providing restorative solutions to all SHADOW participants and family members.
