Positive mental health helps youth develop the resiliency to cope with whatever life throws at them and to assist them in growing into well-rounded healthy adults. Things that can help keep adolescents mentally well include: being in good physical health, eating a balanced diet, engaging in positive relationships, and making meaningful contributions to one’s community. Youth will have the opportunity to build positive relationships with adults and engage in volunteer opportunities to give back to the community. SHADOW will also provide access to counselors and therapists to further support mental health needs.
